Riska Aprilia Kuswati is a geospatial researcher specializing in climate change, energy transition, and natural capital. Holding an MSc in Geospatial Sciences (Hydrographic Surveying) with distinction from University College London, she brings over 5 years of experience as a geospatial consultant, contributing to numerous mining and construction projects across Indonesia.
Her current research addresses global environmental challenges, with a focus on mining impact assessment and mitigation for energy transition, while incorporating AI and machine learning to enhance geospatial analysis.
Riska has been recognized through awards such as the Energy Source Prize 2023 (shared with a colleague) at the University of Glasgow and the Most Visionary Research award (on behalf of the lab) at the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (IISF) 2024.
